Always look for visible damages, most engines are removed from salvaged vehicles, cant speak for the inventory at this location. Second thing I did was bolt a flywheel and starter and do a compression test. You can tell a lot from carbon build up and the way it was maintained. As soon as I got the engine I visually inspected with an endoscope camera each cylinder through the sparkplug hole, and also the exhaust mainfold along with instake. Do your research if replacement or rebuild is your route. Have bought two engines from this guy and they've come out solid! Appreciate that he helped me load it onto my truck. And, you should not ask for partial refunds all the time for minor accessories which is supposed to be included under your own labor. Already, you have been to the court and LOST against many of your suppliers, clients, & customers. On your orders, your technicians skip important installation procedures to save every single penny possible, while, per your own saying, you charge your customers in full for all the labor costs and parts including seals. Your shop LACKS professional & ethical business practices (which is well known by all local JDM shops which you had dealt with and that they don’t deal with you anymore). THIRD: The CRV engine that you purchased from us our own compression test result showed average 184 PSI for each 4 cylinders which is what it was supposed to be for that K24A CRV motor, and it successfully passed the leak-down-test before we sent it to you - and we never heard any complain from the customer. We have helped you many times with engines & transmissions but in return this is what we get from you. SECOND: Your 90-Day Warranty had EXPIRED on December 16, 2021, and you came to our shop asking for a FREE engine on January 26, 2022 – 40 Days after your warranty was over. No, we would not give FREE engine to you, not because of the seal but because of your Automotive Technician’s mistake who failed to conduct important installation procedures that resulted in ruining the engine. And, NO, you should have not threatened us that you would send “gangs” on us. It is common sense to take 2 minutes to inspect the seals on a “used” engine with approximately 50,000 miles before installing it in a car. It would cost only $15 and would take 5-7 minutes to change it. Per your own saying, your Automotive Technician did not change the valve cover “seal” before installing it and that is why after 4.5 months it started to leak a little bit through the “seal” on the head of the engine. We stand 100% behind our warranty and honor it 100% if within the warranty period. Now, to reiterate your feedback and to explain what the REALI TY is – FIRST: The engine did NOT blow up. We are known to be authentic and that we provide quality tested & inspected Japanese engines & transmissions to our customers. However, what you described above is NOT exactly what had happened. We appreciate your feedback and we do understand your frustration. Hossein Sinaki, the owner of Good Auto Repair 8820 Alondra Blvd, Bellflower, CA.
